On a serious note, that is a tile cutter for cutting round holes in ceramic tile. The point doubles as a punch and a center point for the attached scoring tip. I have one a lot like it, but I paid a whole lot more!

Others have speculated similar in this thread but nobody with certainty. That was my guess but I had reservations because it looks like it couldn't reach the center of a 4X4 tile, or has any practical way to drive it with a drill.

The count stands at 554 downloads of that photo!

Yes for cutting holes. The long handle is for scoring tile in a straight line, and the tool in question is for round cuts in the tile.

I have a tile cutter like that and have seen plenty others but don't recall ever seeing the circle attachment. Thanks a lot Moss now I need one.

Make sure you have extra tiles... That thing tends to break the tile if you don't score it well enough
