Couple I use often, mostly as an 'in passing' type response to co-workers greeting of the 'how ya doin' type, I normally reply 'Living the dream...' or 'Just another day in paradise...' most days its an honest reply, some days the first one is followed by 'Even nightmares are dreams!'

I will say Good Morning at all times of day. When questioned late in day respond 'It is a state of mind'.

Try walking in to post office Friday, 4 pm and give the clerk a nice cheerful 'Good Morning'

I enjoy the supermarket checkouts and asking if they still take this when offering cash.
The young ones look vague, the mature get a laugh.

Cash is universal gift certificates - accepted everywhere. (I have 3 kids).

Making change and doing basic math are lost skills. A donut shop opened recently. They have a dedicated register for cash sales plus a calculator to it for figuring out change. Today in Home Depot walked past a guy using voice assistant on phone to do math. Believe he was trying to do unit price comparisons.
