What kind of Antique Appliances/ Household items do you all have??

We have a few other antique items that come from family. I have my grandfathers sears crank phone. Made of oak. Also an old battery operated radio. And an old pump organ. My wife's baby grand piano was made in 1923 I think.

I have a late 40s Electrolux model XXX canister vacuum, and a early 50s model LX too. After three years of commercial service removing yellow-jackets, the brushes went out on the XXX this summer, but the LX is running strong. The LX is quiet and very powerful, and best of all... when the bag gets full, it shuts off the motor, opens the door, and ejects the bag!!. I guess it was a $70 vacuum in the 50s. Always a good conversation piece.

I have what my great grandfather called a carriage lamp. It clips on the front flat board of a horse drawn carriage. Let me tell you, it still works and you would only be one very short step up from a candle in a quart Mason jar using this light. The glass bulb and glass mirror reflector in the back are still in perfect shape.

Its a Dietz - Beacon Dash Lamp - out of New York. We use to light it for special occasions but not anymore. I just don't see how we could ever replace any of the parts - particularly the glass ones - if they were damaged.

I think those old lights must have been more for some one seeing you than for you to see anything, kind of like clearance lights on todays vehicles.

I also have this...Not really an appliance...And I dont really consider it a antique...but more of a classic....

We have quite a few antiques in the house; dishes, china cabinet, claw foot end tables, lamps, sewing machines, secretary; we also have a rather extensive collection of 50's and earlier soda fountain glasses, ice cream dippers, etc.
