What kind of Antique Appliances/ Household items do you all have??

Not an "appliance" but this is one of my old outboard motors:



I got a bunch of them. Used to run them all the time, but don't have the time any more, so they all sit. Maybe after I retire...

I also have a Beach 'Companion' cook stove. It burns both coal and wood. Date of manufacture sometime around 1902. Made in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Thanks...it was restored by my Father and I back in 2000..he still owned it at the time, truck was originally all red...I have always wanted that truck since I was a little kid...Dad always said no cause it was "unsafe" to todays standards...well about the time he was looking to sell her off...I put him in a situation he didn't like...I told him I was going to look at an 84 Chevy Silverado...in MUCH MUCH worse condition than this truck....and that's when he said "If you that determined to buy one..you might as well buy mine"...Best $1,000 I ever spent

It needs alittle bit of work here and there...when we restored it he put A/C in it from a donor truck...that needs to be all gone over...I got a Dana 44 Big hub axle for the front and a 14 bolt Full float rear for the back which I am hoping to get into it this spring...which will be taking it from 3.73 Gears down to 4.10 (well there goes my gas mileage) I got a 650cfm Holley and a performer edelbrock intake manifold that I am in the process of putting on it...Its got a 790 Edelbrock carb on it right now..its way to big for that 350...its got a huge flat spot in it when I shift from 1st to 2nd...

When we restored it...every body panel that we replaced....we replaced with OEM GM Dealer bought Panels...the only thing that we couldnt replace with GM parts was the rockers and the cab corners...which is the ONLY thing on the truck that has started to rot already...

In our house I'm getting to be referred to as antique. But we do have a table and four chairs that were purchased used in 1909 by my Grandfather. There is also a washing machine, lamps & tools from that era.

Buckeyefarmer - I can remember the telephone we had in the house as a kid. Its what you have pictured there - we called it a farmer's phone. Had two large & tall dry cell batteries inside. Being on a party line - we would listen and count the rings to see if the call was for us. Our "ring" was three longs & two shorts.

I recall a party line very well. I also recall as time went on your "neighbors" were not down the road. They were just someone else cheap enough to not pay for a dedicated line. It made it easier to be impolite when they tied up the phone for hours and you wanted to make a call.

Just about everything here is... not by design... only because it still works and most work well!

My first home was bought from the original 1922 homeowner... they never had children or siblings... it came with the original stove and fixtures plus things like toaster, mixer... and one of those old phones that stands on a table... like going back in time.

Heck... still have rotary phones here!

Lot of old appliances in service... washer, dryer, ovens, freezer, refrigerators etc...

Mom's Amana freezer is from 1967 and her Kenmore dryer from 1968...

She said it looks like it's time to replace the dryer... it quit working... less than $5 for a new belt and good to go... gosh I love old appliances!!!!!!!

PS... does my Apple II computer and Letter Quality Daisy Wheel printer sitting on my desk count?

That Johnson was my 1st motor, next came an Evenrude 4 cyl 9 hp, 16 hp Johnson and 25 Johnson.
To earn the 25hp I caddied 18 holes 150 times at $1.00/18 ---oops, I gave away my age. LOL

The 9 hp 4-cylinder opposed would have been a "Light Four" (which are not so lightweight). I have about a half-dozen of those, some with recoil start and some the "standard" version with a rope sheave.

I assume the 16 Johnson was two cylinder alternate-firing (over/under) with remote tank, and that prop with the holes in it that acted as the water pump. I never had any of those.

Had a couple of the 25's over the years; ran an Evinrude version for a couple of years. Currently have only one Johnson 25, about a 1954 I think. In pretty-bad shape. Tried to sell it as a "parts motor" at a swap meet back in November and couldn't get 40 bucks for it.

Don't have the old maytag washer anymore but still have the old maytag gas and oil cans in the garage.
