What kind of mushroom is it and whether it is edible or not?

I heard some hippies from the 60’s used to go out to the desert and eat mushrooms, then wake up 3 days later and can’t remember a thing.

An Indian classmate said that his grandfather knew of a mushroom which would get you "high" the first time you ate it, but the third time would kill you.

Just keep in mind that an app is just another tool, best used in combination with other methods. The best way is to have an experienced friend who can look at what you pick and steer you in the right direction.

For example; I have an app called "Seek" which is good for identifying flora and fauna. A couple of years ago I took a picture of my chocolate lab. The App said that he was a Cape Buffalo. Granted he was a bit of a bull at times...

A sad story about mushrooms.

My first wife died of mushroom poisoning, it was terrible and she suffered until the end. My second wife died of a skull fracture. She just would not eat those mushrooms. Later.
