One thing to bear in mind about a diagnosis of Meniere's, which is that it covers several quite different variants. That's not unusual for many diseases in my experience.
I think that the major tipoff for me is if one treatment doesn't work for all patients, there are disease variants, and I would argue, disease variants of significance. As more and more diseases get genetically tested, the science tends to pretty uniformly back it up.
