Agree, but there not live, and commercials just start up while a show is playing. Watching a rerun news show and they were talking and commercial starts, but its free

The news stations seemed to be the same as broadcast, no? In the Live TV section. I only signed up last night so I will need to watch it some more.

They are the same but not live and not in same order. As an example, Rachel Maddow of MSNBC was on this AM, but she is normally seen at 9PM

I had a hard time paying for the TV lineup and watching a couple of channels. I am looking at going from $231 a month to around $100 and getting a lot more that I am interested in

That's the problem with a lot of things today - packages and bundling.

I was configuring a new Ram 1500 yesterday. There are some bizarre "conflicts". I can't remember the exact ones, but it was stuff like "if you want the rear bed step you can't get Red paint". The only possible reason I can think of for some of these things is that certain production lines are set up with only certain options. Absolutely none of the conflicts that I cared about had anything to do with physical design/application. And that's beyond the fact that you can't get Option A (that would have e retail value of, say $100) unless you buy Package 2, which is near 4 grand.

Yeah, yeah, I know - the overall cost for a similarly equipped vehicle, if they had to piecemeal everything would be more expensive. I just want what I want. But I'm not willing to pay the $200k or so it would take to custom build a truck for me.

Oh, and by the way - when in the world are they going to put the Hellcat motor in the Ram? I mean, they have it in a JEEP!!!

I actually think it is an advantage to not have to watch certain shows at certain times. Xuno is another free station that I found. Lots of off brand channels, but many that I find entertaining.

Rachael Madcow can be on at 3 AM for all I care, I would not watch her if there was one station remaining on earth:D

Nothing wrong with a $75 a month 1 gig connection

What kind of server farm are you running that needs that kind of bandwidth? I can't see how any residential customer needs even 25% of that speed. Really, what does it gain you?
Someone made the analogy with vehicles, and it's true. They push ever faster speeds, ever larger channel selections (most of which few ever watch), etc. for "only a few dollars more a month". Makes good advertising copy, but IMHO it's money thrown away.

Seems harder and harder to find basic service at a reasonable price.

This will not help the OP, but I thought it was interesting..... Forward to 4:41 for the OTA stuff. There are also DIY DIGITAL antenna designs on the web that just use coat hangers. I use to get 9 Channels. I Now get over twenty.

That was dnw64 that has that connection speed.

I ended up signing up these to watch on ROKU :

Paid
-YouTube TV. Gets me FOXNews but it is not live, gets me a fair amount of sports, news and movies.
-Philo. Gets my wife her Hallmark channels, Animal Planet, BBC World News, that kind of stuff
-Netflix. Movies mostly

Free
- Pluto
- Xuno

That gets us everything we need and tons more. All while dropping my TV bill be around $100. It seems most of the channels get you some live TV and some movies. Some more of one than the other.
