Well this was fast. YouTube refunded me the $40 after I gave them my opinion on the matter. So Youtube is not bad afterall. Me thinks I will keep them :thumbsup:

Check out Hulu live, I love it and it's very responsive on Roku express models.

The WD passports work well with tablo. I got a 2tb refurb from Western Digital before Christmas for around 40 from their eBay store.

Hulu was next on my list. However, due to the rapid YouTube response by their representative Grace, I think I will stay with them. I appreciate their customer perspective. Kudus to Youtube TV :thumbsup:

AT&T dumping DirecTV? This may end up being a big deal for those living in rural areas.

I picked up a Tablo Dual Lite tonight. I need to get a USB hard drive before I can try it out. I thought I only needed that to record, but it looks like I need it for live TV as well. Best Buy had the ROKU Stick+ for $49 so I picked up one of those as well for the last TV.

How you liking the Tablo? Love mine. Got around 320 Gunsmoke and 240 Bonanza episodes recorded with 3/4 of my 2TB drive still empty.

We had Comcast for about the first 10 years here for something like about $10/month for virtually everything on cable but Showtime and junk like it, even local channels. Then Xfinity bought them out with them suddenly wanting 5 to 10 times the price/month. Went with DirecTV as part of a CenturyLink package. THEN DirecTV kept going up in price; didn't get local channels; got them on rabbit ears. Finally cut the cable about a year ago with Roku and signing up on SlingTV to get ESPN and ESPN2 plus FS1 for $40/month; get local channels on rabbit ears. Cannot get "U", "news", ACCnetwork and some others. Hulu now has all these and more for $45/month. Sling wants another $10/month, which would total $50/month to get same. So far, sticking with Sling.

Get LOTS of really good, free movies on Tubi and Roku channels on the Roku gizmo, which is a one-time price of about $40.

I use it all the time. Not that I watch TV much but I do like to watch MeTV reruns (waiting for Andy Griffith to start right now) and local news. If it was not for the wife I would cut out YouTube TV and go with Tablo only. The local CBS station just added a free app which was nice since It is the one station of the 60 that seems to drop out. All in all a great product.

For the free stuff I really like PLUTO.TV you can watch it straight off the internet or through ROKU. LOTS of free channels.

You have to really like commercials with free TV on Ruku. Most shows start off ok, then go to 3 minutes of the show and 5 minutes or more of commercials. They don't break where regular TV break, they will brake right when someone is in the middle of a sentence.
