Well i found 2 farmking 84 inch rear discharge mowers at a dealership about 200 miles away, both mowers the service dept. went through and they are ready to go. I did find out when talking to the salesman that you cant use these mowers with a quick attach but they do make a quick attach adapter for the farmking mowers that are only a few years old. This one would not qualify, the part is $180, Crap! i plan on hooking and unhooking it weekly. Anyone here run one with a quick attach or an adapter for one? Or have a pic on one could a person build something to adapt to it if they dont make one for this year of mower? He said it is a 2005 or 2006 model?
If you don't have a QH presently, you might want to look into the Pat's Easy Change. More on this later...
As far as the mower linkage geometry, I'm going to guess the lower link hookups are two clevises rather then pins and the spacing between the clevises isn't the same as the QH. This is how my 84" Befco is set up.
Since those clevises (on the Befco) are bolted in place rather then welded, with a few rough measurements I figured out I can reverse the clevis arms, add a 1"-1.25" spacer (between each clevis arm) and make it work with my QH. The spacer doesn't increase the width of the clevis, but just compensates for two bends in one arm of each of the clevises.
I know you'll want pictures, but I don't have any as this is still a bit in the design stage. It, per my measurements, should work.
However, the QH still won't fit most my other implements...they'd require cutting and welding. I haven't welded in years, got no welder and I do have a pacemaker (got to watch welding with a pacemaker due to the magnetic fields generated by the welding current).
Back to the Pat's Easy Change: This might be the easiest way to go, but I'm not sure if the PEC forged hook will fit in the clevises. That forging, IIRC, is about 1.5"-1.62" wide.
Fortunately, the Befco's clevises have a removable pin and, other then the mass of the mower, is pretty easy to hook up using the 3PH without a QH or PEC. Just means getting off the tractor and doing it the old way...
If you buy one of those Farmking mowers, get pictures of the mower hook up and I'm sure someone on TBN will have a possible solution.
