To this day,banjo players give Granpa credit for some of their licks. To wit,we saw Mike Snider last week at Turkey Track Bluegrass Festival, Waldron Ar where he honored Granpa with a "Clawhammer"medley.

Eggs benedict, with a recipe from America's Test Kitchen. I've never had eggs that way before. Sure was good!

Fry up 1/2 of a Red onion, 1/2 of a diced potato, home grown bell peppers (wow they were good this year!) And 5-6 mushrooms until lightly browned. Add pepper and thyme, fold in 3 beaten eggs with paprika mixed in. All in mom's 70 year old cast iron skillet of course.

Serve with a side of bacon or sausage, toast and coffee.

we have plenty of possum here. so it's not a big deal to get one most any night.
I trap about 3-4 a night. Skin it, cut it up with some spices in a iron skillet. Makes the best gravy with a little meat.
Pour it over some of those big cat head biscuits ! MAN ! Make you slap yo ma'ma !

I'm not a big one on most "traditional" breakfast items. Eggs don't agree with me (don't particularly like them either) and 'most everything else is either really greasy or not very filling. I can't be the only one...I've always been a bit puzzled by the number of restaurants that serve breakfast all day, but don't offer alternatives in the morning.

I'll just generally make a sandwich of some sort or eat leftovers from supper.

You must be pretty young...but of course it was popular farther South than New Hampshire. It was cornball, patronized the hick/hillbilly stereotype, but had some pretty girls, good music and slapstick.
