Ballast Wheel weights

   / Wheel weights #11
Ok, more Mad Scientist theorizing.

I've read that the adjustable width hubs on the smaller Yanmars, the hubs that are pinned to a hexagonal axle, have the same 6-hole bolt pattern as 16 inch Dodge rims. First, can anyone confirm this? And do the larger Yanmars use the same bolt pattern?

Next - I happened to see some disc brake rotors that were heavy, probably off a truck, and may have had that same bolt pattern. Hmmm. Since the lug nuts on the little Yanmars go clear through to the other side, I wonder if I could simply use longer lug bolts and hang large junk brake rotors off those bolts. No machining, no hassle, just bolt on 30-50 lbs per side. Maybe even stack multiple rotors if I could find bolts long enough.

Does anyone have any info that would help us pursue this?
