Dealer support, warranty, parts availability, etc are all factors that needs to taken into consideration when making a purchase today. The coined business statement today is, "LEAN AND MEAN". Lean and mean to me equates restrictive parts and service availability. I am afraid it will be years if ever when we can again walk into a business and request a low maintenance part and leave with the part. Most businesses today only stock a limited number of high demand parts. Given the "Lean and Mean" business module, and the business practice of ordering parts for next day delivery, means obtaining replacement glass for a cabbed tractor regardless of manafacture could take from weeks to months to receive.

Let me try to make this very simple. If I were the OP, I would have tried calling a few of the other dealers in his area. Numbers supplied by 469Chevy. Who knows, maybe they could have helped? If not, I would have still thanked 469Chevy, Wallace, and the others that tried to help. Otherwise, I'd overlook the rolling commercials.
Far from TBN Magic, if you ask me.

Wow, I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. I guess you are right DMACE, I will just call a glass shop and have them fabricate a piece of glass for me, since Kioti doesn't do the glass for their proprietary cabs that are built onto their tractors.quote]
I hope that this gives you some info that you don't already have, bad news as it might be.
Just a heads up on your glass. Unless that piece of glass was flat or in some way can be replaced with flat glass, your local glass shop won't be able to help you out. Custom bent glass is big money and I'm not talking 100s, but thousands of dollars and months to get it made. Waaaaay less money to get a mass produced OEM lite which I'm sure only comes from the original cab manufacturer. You might be able to get some Plexiglas to work, but then again it might not. All depends on the shape and how much you want to spend. If it's bent more than one direction. my guess is that the OEM glass would be less money than the Plexiglas.
Just some info that I am aware of, sorry for the bad news.

In past post (that were removed) I stated my frustration with Kioti's product. In the end I didn't go away and through TBN I got a resolution to my issues that I can live with. Several dealers that live to far away worked behind the scenes to help me. I greatly appreciate that. But the fact is if I just rolled over I would have writtens checks for over $3500 on issues that should have been fixed under warranty previously.
I am not going to judge on the current issue but what I do know is if was your tractor you would want some results as well.

I agree. The OP has a right to be mad, and a right to be heard. Everyone needs to understand that he's just letting off some steam. If I were in his shoes, I may have done the same thing. Hope it turns out well.

I disagree. This is not a whiner support group. I don't have any trouble with Jim or the OP posting about their problem and asking for help. That is not what either did. They both ranted from the start. I have no doubt they were frustrated but adults learn to temper such feelings and interact over those issues without flying off the handle. Jim's case was more complex but still could have come to the same conclusion by simply posting the details of his escapade and asking for help. The OP here starts off in a rant and doesn't come back to earth for a few days. I don't see either as making the best use of the TBN community. Go pound a few nails before posting if you are upset. Bring rational questions and requests for assistance here. The OP in this thread starts off with an inflammatory thread title and makes a delayed window replacement sound like a week long wait for 911 to arrive. A perceived delay on his dealer's part is translated into "don't consider Kioti"??? Hysterical overreaction is not going to get you any further than considered discussion on this board (I hope). I for one don't want this board to turn into a "squeeky wheel gets the grease" forum. Having a busted window is certainly annoying but expecting that to be fixed the day or two after it happens is asking a bit much. And condemning the tractor because of that perceived delay is a tad foolish IMO. Would you condemn the USA because a pothole on Route 95 was not fixed the day after you reported it?
Nice reply. I agree with everything with the exception of "Potholes on Route 95" , if this is I-95 those arent potholes, they are too big and deep, have to be "Sink Holes".

Completely wrong. Yes, "Lean and Mean" is today's motto. But, that does not mean customers waiting for weeks and months. Tell me that dealers are not getting stock orders for weeks and months? I have worked in the dealer environment and it just doesn't work that way. We would offer the customer the option to pay freight and have it in 2 days, or we could put it on our regular weekly stock order. Doesn't matter if it is glass, sheetmetal or filters. You can have ANYTHING next day, if you are willing to pay. Someone who is loosing revenue may be willing to, and the option should be presented.
Look at it this way, you can get equipment delivered to you for around $1.00 per loaded mile. I imagine a hot shot service could do it for less for a single item if they were to work efficiently. Today, anyone saying that they will ONLY use their carrier on THEIR schedule is a fool.
There are 2 problems here. 1) The dealer is not doing their part to get things done. There are always options. At this point, it is a customer satisfaction issue. They should be on the phone with their Kioti rep looking for a solution. 2) Kioti is not listening when the customer contacts them.
If the truth of the matter is that it's sitting somewhere waiting on a truck going the right way, Kioti will fall by the wayside telling customers that parts are delivered when they get around to it. Word gets around, and people will go to other brands. The brands that see this and meet that need will survive.

Something else that I forgot to mention. It may be that Kioti won't try to ship the glass via UPS. I believe that UPS will not knowingly ship any type of glass period. Just their policy I guess. Anyway that is what I was told awhile back when I tried to ship some 8x10 lites of glass and they were in a sealed box.
I actually read the Post that started this thread. If I remember right, and I do, the OP has been waiting on other parts SINCE OCTOBER AND DECEMBER of LAST YEAR. That's a far cry from a 911 call, or reporting some SILLY POTHOLE on Route 95!
As far as a window goes, I'd simply put plastic and ducktape over it, until I got a replacement. From his past experience, it may be the middle of next year before he gets the glass.
As far as his rant about not buying a Kioti tractor, it hasn't changed my mind one bit. I would still buy a Kioti. I can simply see that he's been given the run around, until he finally went off.
