I'd rather Kubota be short of some features, versus have a whole bunch of fluff that never seems to work properly like John Deere.
Actually, my MX6000 HST works really well and I’m not sure what you mean by inefficiencies or economic sense. The 60hp turbo engine tractor is never lacking power. The MX6000 is only offered in HST, but the Mx5400 can be had in gear or HST. The price difference between the gear and HST isn’t significant.Probably no time soon.
HST transmissions make economic sense in the low HP market but much less so above 40-50 HP due to inherent inefficiencies.
That said, it is possible that the YUPPIES will pay for such inefficiencies for bragging rights.
I'm sure that the Kubota marketing folks are paying attention so stay tuned.

If you have enough hp, power loss is inconsequential.I recently ran a CAT D5 Hydrastat and an old D7 brake-steer on the same day. I have to say that I do prefer the operation of the "yuppie" dozer, regardless of the power loss.
As soon as they figure out how to get that dozer tranny in a yuppie tractor, I'll buy one.I recently ran a CAT D5 Hydrastat and an old D7 brake-steer on the same day. I have to say that I do prefer the operation of the "yuppie" dozer, regardless of the power loss.
