Where did you get your diesel tank?

I have posted this before.. mounted on a pallet with lag bolts and straps. just right for my SSQA forks...local farm supply -50gallon... nowadays these are pretty spendy but sure handy.

I’m looking to build a setup just like this. What filters are you using?

I don't use a tank. I have a fuel station 9/10's of a mile from my house via the road, less if I cut thru my neighbors property. I drive up there when I need fuel. If I am going after fuel for the lawnmower, I usually tank a 5 gallon can or two for diesel. I had a 4'x4'x2' aluminum one, didn't use it enough to justify it, so I sold it for a lot more than I paid for it. There are times when I miss it. In case of emergency like a hurricane, I have 200 gallons of fuel in a truck sitting in the driveway that I can use, so that helps.

I use a 30 gal paint thinner drum. I put it on a cart and added a transfer pump which is powered by a cordless tool battery:

I refill it from the 1000 gal fuel oil storage tank at the house:

It rolls around easily over rough ground to get fuel where I need it.

I’ve had my tractor for a yearish and used about 250 gallons so far.

5 gallon cans are becoming a huge pain in the ass



Would this be a terrible purchase?

A Jeeping friend got one last year for the ranch he works on and so far loves it.
I was watching them on Amazon just before Christmas and at one point I could have bought it for $300 just by signing up for their CC and getting a $150 discount. I just really don't use that much fuel here but once we move to our MO. property, maybe, but that's another item we'll have to move.
