I keep mine in the barn during the winter, easier to plug in that way, during the summer I keep it outside.

stored in un-heated shed year round. Power available so I keep a NOCO battery charger connected in winter. Out of sun and rain and battery always ready to go in spring.

I kept my diesel mowers and tractor in a shipping container for 20 some years. Now they all reside in my 30x32 pole barn.
I can't stand the thought of parking equipment outside.

I keep mine in a heated garage at 50 degrees, no worries and ready to go.

I keep her parked in a garage, though it doesn't have a door. So, it's out from the rain, but it's not ideal.

Three different spots, all under roof. WM75 with the horse trailer and Mule, TC40DA on one side of the shop, and the 25S and ZTR on the other side.

I used to store mine under a roof, open sides, although the loader hung out in the weather. Now at the new house, I dont have a covered area yet, so it's in the weather.

Does it matter? I know my old Kubuta would absolutely get water in transmission around the gear shifter boot. So, it does matter some.

I will note, Kiotis paint isn't very durable, so maybe cover is needed, and I plan to construct something soon-ish.
