Where's the Snow???

Re: Where\'s the Snow???

One last shot, this time of me finishing off the last of the "roof fall" with the snowblower. We had a standing-seam metal roof put on our house over the summer and it sure dumps the snow on the driveway. Good thing is it will no longer drip for weeks after a snow. With a 10/12 pitch, the snow sheds rather quickly. It's already dry from last nights dumping. That's my snowmobile trailer in the background.

Re: Where\'s the Snow???

Hey Dennis, I like your view there. Is that the Wasatch range up the valley there? I'm in the Sierra Nevada's and we just got another 2' fresh snow since yesterday so more's on the way.

Cheers.

Re: Where\'s the Snow???

Yes it is. We actually live in the mountains, about an hour south of Salt Lake City near Spanish Fork. We're fairly close to the valley at about 5600' elevation the valley is about 4500. That 1100' makes a huge difference with the snow though.

For awhile, I think the Olympic officials we're "sweating bullets" about the snow (or lack thereof.) They're probably quite happy now.
