Here are some more pics.
The last two show the gray colored BigFoot pads on the stabilizer feet.

Have you brought any of your concerns to your selling dealer yet?
I would suggest if not, it might be time to give him a call and let him know your frustration with the hoe....
Give him a chance to make it right. I cannot think of any dealer who wouldn't want to fix a problem at 25 hours on a hoe you bought from them.

I have the hard surface (big) foot pads. Yes return line is hooked into fill. Yes, salesman has been over, and he like me thought that the bushing must not have been installed and he was nice enough to order new bushings. New bushings arrived and will not remove the gap there is on dipperstick hole. Digging irrigation line thru dirt, remove 1"- 3" dia. young trees....things I have done with other hoes. This one just stops, during bucket curl, if I lift boom I can get the curl moving again. I think the hoe is working as good as it can. But I think my bucketpins is a real problem. If you watch the "dogbones" you can see them working againsr each other. When I changed buckets on other hoes the pin gap to dipperstick was great not sloppy like the Kioti. Has anyone changed their bucket?

From my own looking around it will be a woods B90X as soon as I can find a subframe to fit. A good friend has a John deere hoe 8.5' that I am going to see how hard it would be to fab a subframe for first. That would be alot cheaper!! CJ

Cjone what made you decide on woods, I know it's a good one, I did alot of studying also and found the rhino 300 cheaper, did I miss something?

Break out force for the bucket and boom lift capacity. The design of the main boom and adjustable break out force for the bucket, 1 position for speed and 1 for power. Everybody that has them seem to rave about them. Now I have not ran 1 but that is next. I will look at the Rhino also before I buy but the woods really looks like a quality unit. CJ

Could you buy a Kioti sub-frame and then adapt the JD hoe to it?

Yup that is exactly what my dealer suggested and I would have the Kioti approved mounts. I will figure out a pin system so it can still be mounted quickly back on his tractor. CJ

The bucket is a 12" with three teeth. Bought and wanted Kioti for warranty issues. Lack of power compaired to other hoes. More twisting and bending than others. Seat hits back of cab. This is weakest hoe I have owned,,,regardless the bucket binds half way thru a curl and you can see the "dogbones" rise and fall during the curl. Looked at pins all are fine. Now the pins fit the bucket "ears" fine but thru the dipperstick is way off. I took some pix that I can email to better explain. You can take the dipperstick bolt and move up and down two or three inches. Also stabs need to be reset every two or three scoops. 2000 hrs on two Kubotas and 1000 hrs on a Cub Cadet (mits) with Woods and only issues where busting hydr parts. 25hrs on Kioti

I have the KB2375 bh. My 9" bucket has 4 teeth which doesn't make sense to me that your bucket has less. My 20" bucket has 6. Your stabs shouldn't bleed off either. Either the control valves are bad or you have some piston seals turned/flipped in the cylinder. When I change buckets, my pins are just a little smaller than the hole. Without measuring, I'd guess .030" difference. From this parts page, OEM Parts, I wonder if they use the wrong pins. Two in the dipper arm are 30mm dia. and two in the bucket are 32mm dia. but all four are the same length. With all those problems, I would want the dealer to get one of his service people to give it a complete go over.

I have the Woods BH90x on my DK40se and have been happy with it. I had a KB2365 on my CK20 and actually liked that too so I am not biased against the Kioti BHs. I bought the Woods mostly because of the thumb option though I don't really like the mechanical thumb and don't use it (still planning to convert to hydraulic which will be much more useful).

Compared to my BH2365, the Woods is a little better engineered IMO (but remember my impressions are of a 6.5 foot previous generation Kioti BH not the current 8.5 footer). The biggest single difference I think is the subframe mounting system and I don't know which I really prefer. The Woods four point mount is very compact and makes storing the BH very easy compared to the Kioti system. However, I could mount my Kioti BH in just a few minutes and even after four years and probably a dozen cycles of on and off, it still takes me half an hour to mount the Woods BH. The reason is that with the Woods you have to line up the linkage very precisely in order to put in the two large bolts with castle nuts. You cannot slam them in or you will strip the threads and be unable to put the castle nut on. With the Kioti you just need to get the thing approximately right and then can use a hammer to persuade the tapered pins (maybe not tapered but definitely whackable) into their lock position. With the Woods I am using the hydraulics in three dimensions to get things lined up within 1/16" in order to thread the retaining bolts. With the Kioti you just raise the thing to within 1/4 inch or so and give it a whack. Maybe if I mounted the Woods four or five times a year it would go faster but in reality I tend to save up projects for the BH then mount it, do the projects and then take it off. That cycle occurs only a couple times a year typically.

If I were buying again today I would still strongly consider the Woods as it has been an excellent BH, I just don't like the fussy mounting procedure (dismount is easy). I would however take a hard look at the KB2485 too. If I recall the Woods specs are a bit higher which is a slight advantage. Not sure what the difference in price is now.

The 2485 comes on and off VERY easily. I don't even use a persuasion device. On level ground I can mount it in about 5-10 minutes. As for the price, it sounds like I paid about $1300-$2000 less for it than the Woods BH90, but this is just from what I heard about Woods pricing from others on TBN....my dealer didn't sell Woods (though I wish he did!). Specs are indeed better on the Woods, but as with nearly every implement, you have to pay for it!
