It's true , it would have been a shame , it's also a shame a customer had to go through such an ordeal that shoul have been taken care ofmuch sooner.maybe kioti will learn something out of the whole issue.

Its not a Kioti thing- its a dealer error that the least trained novice mechanic should have caught. There's a big white label on each bucket showing the part number and hoe size the bucket fits! Mine is still on the bucket right up on the back side near where the pins go, after four years of heavy use.
First there's the moron who packed the pallet with the wrong bucket at the depot, and then there's the fool who assembled the hoe prior to retail delivery to the customer. And don't forget the salesman who thought the bushings were bad?! Its the perfect storm of fools on a mission to give Kioti a bad name without really trying to hard.
Thankfully the OP posted on TBN, and there are enough owners of those hoes here to know better than what the OP reported as his experience with operating the hoe. It was obvious that something was seriously wrong from the get- go.
That's the power of dedicated TBNers, here to help fix problems for each other.

Put correct bucket hoe while waiting for the storm to get here. Backed into woods where I knew some roots would be and sunk that bucket, made the curl. Pulled roots dirt just as I thought orginial it would. It performs as I thought it should. This is like getting a Christmas gift that you really wanted only 11 months too late. This was a perfect mistake, new Kioti dealer but long term NH dealer. No sticker on old bucket. Tractor was in their first shipment. Quality missed by all! But should be solved soon. Yes, I do believe this is a formidable backhoe and I will be keeping the unit. Thank you all for your help.

You're welcome; and are you going to get a 'CLAW' for your 'new toy'?

Ordered Gen II claw with serrated teeth about 10 days ago. C.M. you are correct Bob @ MIE is a very knowledgeable nice guy. Should be here in 3 more weeks. I guess they are selling! Bob remembered selling you guys. I could use it now with the uprooted trees in my neighborhood.

Chubby, Get yourself a small dolly for $20 or so from H. Depot. Lower the Kioti bucket onto it in mostly curled position and remove the pins. Put CLAW on the ground on its back and move dipper stick into position and put pins in place. RIP it up!

Hah! I wish it were that easy. In reality you need an assistant to help line up the pin holes and jam in the pin with the other person uses a crowbar or other tool to manipulate the ripper in three axis's so the holes are no more than a couple of millimeters off at worst. Better yet, use a grinder to put a slight taper on the edge of the pin so it can help force the bucket into place while you hit the other end with a mallet.

Whatever you do don't stick your finger in the holes to help line them up , I learned the hard way, the bucket slipped and nearly cut my finger off. Learned my lesson

Hah nothing! It is exactly that easy because that is exactly what I did first time I attempted to hook-up the CLAW. Ten minute job tops.
Of course it may be because I have the Kioti brand KB-2485 hoe, and you have a different hoe. I didn't have to taper any pins either....
