Sure it wouldn't be as good but I thought about welding a sharp piece of metatl on each ouside tooth to serve as a root cutter, has anybody Ever heard of anybody doing that , I don't see how it would interfere with digging.

I think you are right it would not hurt digging but would interfere with loading the bucket without digging as when just moving a pile of dirt without penetrating the ground. If the side knives were bolted in place and easily removed that would give you flexibility.

Drill through the side of the bucket and use big washers.

Here are pics of the gen 2 ripper tool, CLAW.

They are shot from left and right side looking directly at the teeth and scoup plate. Several pics into the group the CLAW is shot from a distance from the side and then from the back.
Two pics show what and actual KB-2485 pin end looks like- notice the flat of the outer surface, unlike the ones you have.

You get the correct bucket, a new dipper stick and the CLAW and you'll be having the time of your life! And about time too!:dance1:

Pretty much, just claw teeth on front and back, and it works better too
Hard to say really, but I think the teeth add to the ripping effort of the big tooth. Bob at MIE says he sells 50% of each version. IT, you should come to VT and we can have a CLAW OFF!:thumbsup::drink:

Thank all of you for your informative responses, pictures and pms. Friday I sent a letter to dealer requesting a new backhoe and bucket with pins. The letter was forwarded to Kioti. I believe the dipper stick, link ***'y, and the left and right link are egged shaped and the machined bosses at end of dipper stick are chipped and starting to flake away. Just new bushings are putting a temp fix that will cause issues down the road. The best thing that I have learned thru this test of patience is the 2nd gen. claw. After I find out what Kioti is going to do, I am going to buy one. I think for all the uses that tool can be it is much better than any 12" bucket. Bottom line for me is if Kioti gives me a negative answer on a 25 hr hoe that they miss assembled, I will sadly spend the 1600.00 to buy the above parts to get this hoe working. I was going to throw in the towel and say f.i.d.o. But from hearing your testimonious I believe this dog will hunt. I was affraid 1600 more just might be throwing good money after bad. I think the dealer assembles the sub frame, the outriggers and attaches the bucket. In which case, the person who attached your bucket knew perfectly well that it was the wrong bucket, or at the very least, the wrong pins. The bucket would have been very sloppy and the amount of grease that was applied before it squirted past the pins would have been an unusual amount. (if they even greased it).

Keep Kioti customer service informed. They will encourage your dealer to correct his mistakes. You should get a new backhoe.

When your new backhoe arrives inspect it thoroughly before it leaves the dealer, and please keep us posted.

A gentleman from Kioti arrived at my house today to inspect my backhoe. I asked him to start my dk50 to see if the rough running and both black and white smoke was normal on cold start. Temp was 65tractor was in barn over night. He said No, "you have a glow plug issue". Finally, I have a proper answer! Then we looked at dipper stick. He agreed the dipper will be replaced. He dropped off new PROPER bucket with pins. Dealer called an hour later to say 4 new glow plugs ordered and dipper stick ordered. When parts come in repairs will be made. So this solves ALL my issues with my tractor! Thank you Jerry @ Rathell's and Mark from Kioti. This factory rep was a true caring gentleman. Can I get an AMEN!

Yeah too! I for one am glad you stuck by us TBNers, we know our stuff! You're 'gonna be so pleased with the hoe now you won't believe the difference. I'm looking forward to your reaction to the proper bucket working like it should.

It would have been a shame if you had traded or bought outright another hoe because of the errors of the dealer's crew who missed the wrong bucket....phew.
