? To all if the 26xl is a detuned 28 can it be retuned?

Unlikely they would make it simple to do. if it were simple to do, I'd get a 1538 and retune it to 50HP like the 3550 that uses the same engine.

I saw a video on everything attachments that he retuned a 70hp tractor to 100 hp by turning up the fuel pump.

Is it a chip upgrade? With so few on market I doubt some computer programmer would waste there time....But look for cars and how many chip guys play around to get more HP....

I found a few 3016 in NC about 700 miles away will call on Monday wondering if I should have it shipped (transported) up or rent a trailer and pick it up my self I'll have to weight it out. If I pick it up rent trailer gas 2days out of work is it worth going myself?

I would definitely call Vanco Outdoor Equipment in Henderson, NC on Monday and ask for Junior. http://vancoequipment.com/
I believe they even had a couple HST 3016s as well. These guys were so helpful, I would be highly surprised if they didn't help you figure out the best solution. I'm not sure what the per mile cost is for truck shipping of 700 miles. But if you did it yourself, I think it would be safe to estimate at least $500 - $700 in expenses not to mention all that driving time. The good part about driving down is looking and testing the tractors and handling everything onsite, loading up and heading home.
