Which tooth bar for digging?

Used the PTB for actual digging Sunday for a patio base. The owners wanted it 6" on the low side of the slope. The high side ended up about 24" deep.
The bar really helped cut into the hard pack to get down to the softer sand. Any roots were cut or broken due to the V not letting the bucket slide off.

That's some nice looking grade work you have there.
I'm working weekend projects to clear trees out of some old fence line. Just danced with a wild cherry tree week before last - forked stump with the bigger side about 8" in diameter. Loved how the PTB let me get in and cut through some roots to get that thing out.
I think so as well. With the hard pack you're working with & the red clay we have here, I think the tooth shape helps break up some of the clods and clumps as they roll out from under the bucket and I think the final surface is about as smooth as you could ask for without hand raking.

It's even more fun when you're loading / cutting nose down hill. Gotta respect the amount of power / work these little tractors can do.

Love my PTB and as others have said, it is multi functional. Mine has never come off and done a lot of tough digging and the teeth still look good after 3 years. Doubt it will ever come off. Enjoy!
