I'm sorry guys my first thought when I saw this was, I wonder if he keeps some Jergen's in the cup holder. I know it gets lonely out in the fields.
I am 66.
I was in the US Navy from 17 - 21.
Now that my friends are at the age where they are being stricken with cancer in various forms.....
I think of the awful solvents we used routinely in the Navy, bare-handed, which are banned today, and I sweat the Big C.
Gas and Diesel are both loaded with Benzene. I do not know about grease.
Exposure is NOW, medical problems crop up years later.
I remember when I was a little boy seeing my Dad use a slice of bacon and just rub and rub it around in his hands like soap to cut all the grease off...It really worked and he did that instead of using gasoline or solvent...there were not many safe solvents back then ...so the bacon worked...Remember that ...in a pinch it still works when your run out of the hand soap grease cutters like Go Jo...

That's a sign you're developing an allergy or sensitivity to the chemicals. Solution is to wear gloves all the time (not always practical), or clean it off as soon as you get a break in the work. Fact is, continued exposure to those chemicals is NOT good for your skin, or the tissues inside your hands. That stuff is absorbed, and absorbs easier and faster the warmer the oil/fluid and the more you're sweating.noticed oil all over my hands = headache + a slight burning sensation
Another necessity is toilet paper when you're out working deep in the woods! Pine straw just doesn't cut it.
