I've got a BX23 and a 5x10 dump.... it will work in a pinch.

Most of the time I use the car trailer for the tractor... also have a PJ18 for the Deere 110...

At least trailers a cheap to license here...

A new F150 with max tow will pull more than 12k lbs. Do yourself a favor and get at least a 14' dump trailer, you won't be sorry. I purchased a new BX25 and Sure Trac 14' dump trailer last fall and they complement each other very well. While the trailer is rated at 14k lbs, that doesn't mean you need to load it that heavy. Ps. Don't forget to get a grapple for the BX, you can quickly load the trailer, haul to the dump, and put a big smile on your face when you push the button on the wireless remote and watch everything shoot out the back of the trailer. You won't be sorry.

John, how much does the trailer weigh? I would not want to be pulling around a 5000 pound trailer if I could avoid it. It would also be difficult to move around with BX 25 tractor, as I have a hitch welded to my FEL.

I have the max tow package but it is only rated at 10,200. How wide is your trailer?
I didnt forget the grapple either!!

Ahh, sounds like you have a F150 4x2 with 3.55 gears and 5.0 motor. Good deal on the grapple, absolutely makes the BX25, doesn't it?

I was in the same situation as you. I have a 12' landscape trailer as well that would take me 45 minutes to load with brush and stuff to take to the landfill, but it would take 2x as long to unload because all the branches get hooked together. At ago 59, I finally took the easy (smart) way out and got the dump trailer. I can load the trailer using the BX and grapple very quickly, and there is no better feeling to simply push a wireless remote button and watch everything painlessly come rolling out of the trailer. Good luck with what ever you end up with...

I wanted the best dump trailer I could find and settled on Sure Trac. I initially thought I wanted a 12' but am 1000% happy I got the 14'. Mine is 14' x 82" and ~ 3600 lbs empty. 14k GVW. I upgraded to the best tarp kit, spare tire, solar charger, wireless remote, and scissor lift.

Thanks for posting this info. Did your trailer come with ramps? I am not seeing that as a standard option in my quick review.

Yes sir, HD ramps are standard. If you look at the last video link I posted, at the 9:00 minute mark it shows them, what they look like, how they mount and how they are stowed.

Cool... thanks again. I guess I only watched the first of the two videos you posted. I liked the second one. Now I am jealous. What made you choose the scissor hoist vs. the standard option?

I think the scissor is more robust and better suited for heavy loads.

We had a dump trailer at the shop and it was very easy to load it so it would not tip... it was not a scissor.

Well I got a N&N galvanized dump trailer. I put the BX in it. Little bit of a tight fit but got no issues towing it with my old 1/2 ton truck. The trailer is 10'X6' with a brake on each wheel. It dumps via one large cylinder centre of the dump up front like the dump trucks have. It's only power up and gravity down so it's easier on the charging system and the battery. It came with a 25' wired remote but I also added a wireless remote so I can change the angle of the dump while loading odd items. It also has a two way tail gate which works great. The trailer was built in Quebec, Canada and has been a great addition to the fleet. I'd never buy a powder coated trailer for around our area. Everyone I've ever seen started to peel off the first year so that's why I went with the gavalinized.
Yes a 14'-16' trailer would be nice but I didn't want to put myself in the hole buying a $50-$80.000 truck to pull it around. I only use the trailer to pull the BX maybe twice a year but it do work great.

I would want a 14 ft . Why ? When you use the 3 point hitch with a brush hog ,the extra room will be needed .
