Well I got a N&N galvanized dump trailer. I put the BX in it. Little bit of a tight fit but got no issues towing it with my old 1/2 ton truck. The trailer is 10'X6' with a brake on each wheel. It dumps via one large cylinder centre of the dump up front like the dump trucks have. It's only power up and gravity down so it's easier on the charging system and the battery. It came with a 25' wired remote but I also added a wireless remote so I can change the angle of the dump while loading odd items. It also has a two way tail gate which works great. The trailer was built in Quebec, Canada and has been a great addition to the fleet. I'd never buy a powder coated trailer for around our area. Everyone I've ever seen started to peel off the first year so that's why I went with the gavalinized.
Yes a 14'-16' trailer would be nice but I didn't want to put myself in the hole buying a $50-$80.000 truck to pull it around. I only use the trailer to pull the BX maybe twice a year but it do work great.

I have seen these pics before. (and all of your wonderful videos too!! :) )

So to recap.... No issues with a 6X10 huh? This would be my preferred set up for sure. I know a 14' would be the best, but if it works for you why not?

Hey, Paul, thanks for your post. How much does that trailer weigh, and how much did it cost? I have a BX 25, but my F150 will only tow about 7000 pounds. Perhaps I could get an aluminum dump trailer from these guys.

There's no denying that the bigger the better BUT it's no good to have a bigger trailer IF you don't have the truck to pull it HD that's why I went with the trailer I have. I don't need a new truck. I hardly use the one I have so investing $50-$80.000 for a new truck in my opinion is ridiculous in my opinion. My set up works for me and I'm content with it. Glad you enjoy our videos. Thanks.

My trailer weighs in at 4900 lbs. It's a heavy duty unit. It's GVWR is rated at 10.000 lbs. mine cost around $8000. I made my own aluminum ramps, installed the wooden extensions! Shovel and rubber mounts. Added a spear tire, chrome centre caps for the wheels, wireless remote, mud flaps and fabricated an aluminum tarp cover. I also added D rings inside the dump so I did have some mods to do even at that price point. I haven't seen an aluminum dump trailer. I haul my BX24 often in my 6x10 dump trailer, sides are 2' tall, I have to set the FEL over the front onto pump/battery box and let the backhoe hang over the back gates.

I'm thinking a 10' trailer is about as small as you can go...

I use a 10' car trailer for my BX23 and it works... loader secured to the tongue A frame and backhoe swung to one side... tows great.

Longest tow was 400 miles each way...

This has been a great thread and for me, comes down to need vs want and what looks like $4k vs $8k. I will rarely need to tow my bx25d but would like to be able if needed. I do get about 2k lbs hay monthly. I could see using the dump around the homestead for moving dirt, wood chips, tree clean up, split wood, go get gravel/mulch. I think my mind is made up on a 10ft. Plus my explorer v8 can pull.
