The trick here is to keep your sense of humor, that's important.......
Recently the wife and I purchased a new Maytag washer and drier. After I got the equipment home and installed the protective plastic was peeled away from the control panel. They put that junk on to prevent scratches, anyway there was a pretty good dent in the washer control panel. dang, dang, dang
Instead of taking the whole kit and caboodle back to the store we called Maytag who said they would send out a new part with a technician. 1st the part shows up at the door then the technician comes a day or two later. When he pulls the new part out of the box it isn't any better than the original part.
So it's up to us to call Maytag a second time. And I was given
special instructions to open the next box before the tech arrives to be sure there is no hidden damage. Gee I hope I can remember to do that!
The second box arrives and it's opened and I pull the protective film off the panel to give it a good look-see. The good news is there is no damage to the panel. The bad news is that it's for the drier NOT the washer as ordered. Well at least the tech didn't have to show up.
Third call to Maytag to order.

And the correct part finally shows up, undamaged. I'm still waiting for the technician to install it, but hey, I'm keeping my sense of humor here.
