Looks Great! Good job!

When you are done are you going to use it?

Thanks! I'm using DURING the restoration. It'll be a "daily driver" after I'm done too. It took 35 years to get where it had to have the first paint job. If it gets half that on round 2, it'll probably outlast me.

The Jube isn't home yet. It'll be after Jan 1 before I can get her home. For now it's covered with a tarp. I've got some junk but not like the good ol' days. We moved last year. Anything that was obviously JUNK junk got gas axed and sold to the smelter man. This place is so clean and orderly it makes me nervous. Wifey informs me it's about to STAY clean and orderly too.

I don't farm anymore for the most part. My stash of junk is about all gone. Guess I'll be changin' my username a'fore long. Hows about "Retiredwithgoodstuff"?

Good Evening Bill,
You know, theres just something about a RED tractor that takes my breath away ! ;) :) Especially really purdy ones :)

I will gladly train you extensively on any type of painting you wish, in exchange for that tractor!

Very nice indeed!

Another installment; The fenders are painted. The left one had some bad damage. The back 4" was crushed at one time. (Long story that involves my dad and a fence post.) I wasn't going to even consider any sort of filler. I'm still on the hunt for a good used one, but it was monday night at the blacksmith shop for a while. An hour, 3 hammers, an anvil, 4 or 5 blocks of wood, and a screwdriver later......... Well, it's not PERFECT, but a bunch better than I expected.

Things learned tonight; Paint that's thinned just a tick too much comes out of the gun in a HURRY. It flows well, giving quite a shine. It also will end up dripping on the floor it'll run so bad. A couple runs. :(

Primer that won't dry @ 55 degrees the last 12 times you tried it, STILL won't dry @ 55 Degrees. I think I'm on to something there!

Anywho, here's the damage.

Pic #1 is the left fender. This is the one with the damage. (far end) I'm ok with it now. Was going to trash the fender.

Pic#2 is the top of the left fender. Fair shine if I do say so ;)

Pic#3 is the tool box that mounts inboard of the right fender and the field light/tail light, also on the right fender.

Closer than I've ever been.... To getting through with this endeavor. There's a couple more evenings to be spent detailing paint work, plus this "laundry list" I'm accumulating. There's 6 remaining pieces to the puzzle. 4 are easy to come by. (AGCO parts counter) 2 are search ebay 'till the cows come home material.

But at least now I have something to look at to give me incentive to continue.

Pic #1 and #2 are self explainatory

Pic #3 is the $57 ebay purchase steering wheel center cap that got the ball rolling. Truth be known, that cap cost a LOT more than $57.
