Re: Why isn\'t there a horn on the BX tractors?
Commercial and industrial tractors and other heavy equipment work in areas where there is a high density of other workers. Having horns and those backup beeper things makes logical sense in such an environment. The original question, however, was about whether it is strange that BXs do not have horns. A BX is not designed for commercial/industrial use. A ROPS and a seatbelt are reasonable safety features for a subCUT, but I don't think a horn is something that I personally would need or use. I don't take the BX on the highway and I do not allow family members to get close to the machine while it is running. As a piece of standard equipment, it would simply increase the price for an item I would not use.
I realize that other people might use the BX under circumstances different than mine, so having a horn as an option, or as an aftermarket add-on accessory does seem reasonable.
