Why me?

I can only say that after nearly 54 years. Of marital bliss (mostly) one’s sense of humor and fighting skills become much more sophisticated.

LOL - my wife did that all the time when I met her. Not so much anymore.

Sharn jean admitted she was wrong; once...in 1963...when she used bacon grease to make brownies. I smelled them two blocks before I got home, and they were in the garbage...but hey...when your weekly budget for groceries is $8.00, you are frugal

Yes, but stuff was cheap back then. My parents’ mortgage was $144/mo. PIT, and gas was 25 cents a gallon!

Yeah, we bought our first home a couple years later; paid about $10,000...house payment was $63.00 per month.

Just ignore it around here and it turns to packed ice.
Youll end up on your azz

LOL, Speaking of AZZ and ICE

Door bell rang yesterday, was a local seniors support group that came to deliver free ice grippers.
Nice gesture!
Naturally there was a donation card enclosed.

Lard & bacon grease in baked goods main reason Codlin was invented.

Was a time when few recipes didn't start by turning on the range, opening the fridge and reaching for the LARD.

Lard's still a standard ingredient for many things; pie crust, biscuits... it's also a bit more clarified and refined than bacon grease.

We make up Plates for the Raccoons. The ends and not so fresh Rye bread shmeared with Bacon Fat, saved in the fridge. The little critters probably have quite a time getting their hands clean. I always seem to have an ample supply of take out wet-naps I should supply them.
