So you're saying anyone that bought a 6.0 doesn't make good choices? That motor needed some work but you can make it reliable with a few changes if you're half way bright enough. Don't you ever get sick of puffing yourself up? Seems everything you do is better than whatever anyone else does, do you have a sack on the trailer hitch of each of you're trucks?

Members here don't even want post in threads you're in because of the same ole BS you post time and time again. Get a life man.

It's like listening to a broken record..

You should know by now there’s the SR way and the wrong way to do something. But I wouldn’t be expecting any further information from him. He likes to post BS and flee without posting any useful or factual information.

My life is telling the truth, some how that doesn't work for you...

I don't see why I should have to agree with you, just because you what? are always right ?! Nothing I've posted in here is a lie...

Like I've said before, some folks just can't handle the truth...

So you dont own a duramax that is known for injector transfercase issues, 6.2 and 6.5 for lack of power, Cummins for having bad rust issues and front end problems on trucks, 7.3 for automatic transmissions, 6.0 for head gaskets, 6.4 for blowing up, and any newer diesel for emission problems?
I said I haven't experienced the HIGHER maintenance and break downs that was quoted in a above post that started this, and I haven't...

I'm not sure how the 6.2's lack of power fits in there? I have one with 200K on it and it hasn't been a problem truck at all. Lack of power, doesn't make it a higher maintenance truck.

As for the Cummins, I never said they were in a great truck, but the truck part of this, has nothing to do with diesels costing more to own. A gas model get's the same Dodge truck and yes, I do have a Cummins/dodge.

I've said it right in here before, It's too bad the Cummins comes with a Dodge wrapped around it!

BTW, what are the bad rust issues I have to worry about? I see Cummins with 400K on them, and what ever rust they have, it isn't killing them. lol

I have a 6.5 turbo Chevy diesel. I’m aware most of them are junk but mine has been a fine truck. Mine will run double digits fuel mileage unlike the gasser options. I’ve driven 7.3 ford trucks and they might be marginally stronger but my truck is a much nicer ride. Quieter cab, no 7.3 rattle, better turning radius, and smoother shifting transmission. My truck is an early 6.5 with no pcm and no electric injection pump which amounts to 2/3 the problems on these trucks.

My 7.3 was a very good truck after I had it custom tuned, strong truck but I had to replace the oil pan twice, the salt up here is nasty. Didn't have any problems with the trans and it did ride hard that's for sure. The torque shift trans in my 6.0 was a much smoother shifting transmission. The GM trucks rode a lot better without the straight axle. My brother had a 3500 and plowed a lot with it and didn't have any issues with the frontend at all..

My dodge had a weak transmission and had to replace it, the lift pump went and some other little things that drove me nuts.

You are actually pretty entertaining... lol I don't agree with you, so you throw a temper tantrum and get personal... Have you considered some anger management class'??

I mean, come on, we are talking about someone having a different experience than you. It's not personal!

So basically you have nothing of any substance yet again..

Maybe you can enlighten us and tell us of you're superior diesel buying decisions.

So what are any known issues that are attributed to the three brands you are aware of?
What make, model, engine and year's are your superior truck's?

You're statement concerning diesels take more oil and other than that are the same cost of maintaining a gasser, that just is not true, guess you're trucks don't have fuels that need replacing a LOT more often than a gasser and the oil filters are at least double the cost of a gasser.

I have researched and owned all three and am fairly knowledgeable concerning them so lets start there. Up til this point, I don't have much hope in getting anything of substance out of you but I'm an optimistic guy so I'll give it a shot..

I'm curious if you actually know anything or you just blow smoke from you're keyboard..

I'll wait..

I think I paid like $8 for a Wix XP grade filter for my diesel truck. My gas vehicle filters cost a similar amount. Holding an extra gallon of oil is a pretty marginal expense. That being said unless it has 6 wheels or more you don’t NEED a diesel.
