I'm looking at the John Deere 630 moco with impellers, I have a John Deere 6320 4x4 with a loader. Is this moco to much for the tractor? Keep in mind I'll be cutting 500 acres of my own hay 3 times a year plus doing custom bailing on the side... What do y'all recommend?

Candidly, if your hacking that much ensilage 3 times per year you might be better off looking at a used MacDon windrower in the Ag Weekly Online: Twin Falls, Idaho classifieds.

I'll have 2 riggs goin so actually 19'6" at a time

One 13'-15' center pivot would mow just as much as two side pull 9 foot machines with half the labor and 1/2 to 2/3's the fuel. The efficiency of a center pivot or self-propelled is staggering when compared to a side-pull cutter.

I think youu are set up about right. With 2 rigs mowing at 5-7 mph you can mow than
you can bale in a day. The say you have to mow it befor u can bale, keep
mowing and u should be in good shape.

pulling a 13 to 15 mow/co aint happing with an 85hp tractor.youd need 125hp tractor to pull it.are you the 1 with the 5020JDs.if so they would pull a 15ft mow/co with ease.

I'll say with 85 pto hp, you have just enough hp to run that 10 ft disc mower conditioner. I've got 85 hp on mine and its just enough in heavy yields.

You could run a much wider sickle bar mower condition like a 14 ft centre pull pivot type, but you'd have a sickle type rig. If your ground is smooth, not rocks etc, you could do this easily and save a lot of fuel. My ground isn't like that, I won't go back to sickle bar type if I can help it.

Yeah I have 2 5020s and there just to much tractor I think for a hay field..... I wanta just go with the 9'9" because of gates and traveling up and down the high way.
