looking to get a portable winch mount to fit a 2" receiver. something along these lines

anyone have an experience with this brand or any others. I have no desire to send 250 for the WARN brand one.

I have a 6K winch that I would to be able to sap between my car trailer, my GN trailer and my trucks as needed. This seems to be the easiest way to make that happen

Looks easy enough to make one yourself... welders, torches, grinders, makes something that works...

greg the thought has cross my mind, but for 60ish delivered, it's cheaper and easier to buy one than take the time to find/buy the supplies and take the time to create something

And seems to be the same design as Keeper's: Keeper Large Winch Cradle-KWA1�1-1 - The Home Depot though Keeper's is made with 1/8" rather than 3/16". If it was me, I'd get the one you listed. For $60 you pretty much cant go wrong.

True... Won't argue that at all, cheap one you posted the like to seems very cost effective. However, for $250, I'd make my own.

Made one a bunch of years ago for a Warn 12k winch. Works great. When you are pulling hard, the biggest issue is chocking the tires well enough so it doesn't drag the truck. I used 1-0 cable with some 1,000 amp jumper leads to connect the winch to the battery.

I don't understand this line in the description of the winch mount above.

"Easy to use - Swivels open to accept line with no disassembly required "

i think it means to run the winch line through the mount, but i'm not sure. i think for 61 it will be hard to beat

What pulley? The description is of the winch mount.

wound up buying it, should arrive about the time i leave for the family trip. pics when i get it and get it all mounted

got it a couple days ago, mounted it all up today. checked the winch over as well. bolted all together fairly smoothly had to by two new bolts to bolt the fairlead to the mount. finish is good, did damaged it slightly with the socket when tightening the bolts. hitch pin wouldn't quite fit had to grind a bit where it bent to gain enough length for the cotter pin. but that's not a big deal. great buy for $61 delivered. also had capacity to go up if i ever get a bigger winch

I've the HF model for my 12K HF winch. Only used it once to test it.

winch mount on the GN. tried to used it, didn't work as planned. got new cables works much better now
