Well its about over here. Currently 17 deg with lows in the sub 0's every night for the next week. It will be fun. I have 5" of ice on everything and 6-8" of snow. Its blowing 35 gusting 50 and cold as %$#^@$^.

Thats all Ice on my concrete drive. I had shoveled the snow off before the pic.

Oh, the media will put some kind of name on it, after it's done. Won't be known by the same "name" everywhere. In Chicago, they refer to the 1967 storm, for example, and everywhere who lived through remembers it as such.

2011 storm, Groundhog day storm of 2011, etc.

Whatever. First, it has to live up to it's billing. Then, it'll be named for sure.

Oh I thought like with the huricans they name them as soon as they form.

Since everyone loves in invoke the name of Al Gore why not something along those lines. "The Al Gore clipper" or "The 100 million people affected, 2000 mile long Gore nightmare" :laughing:

I guess we got off easy with this one, just 4-5" yesterday and a couple of inches today with sleet on top, still freezng mist but I don't think we're gonna get the killer ice.

Here in centarl Maine, coming up onto noontime, 5 inches on the ground and snowing...hard.!!

Tonight I think I will use the bucket to pile it up and use the blower to rid it, once and for all.!!

This is a clip from Channel 7 somewhat "edited" I received today.. yes the snow mix is predicted from 1-3 PM afer the heavy snow here, so at least we won't have to deal with ice underneath..

LOL, that's funny. Looks like we got less than what they were thinking. It must have moved some. Good luck to you folks who got a bunch of ice 1st.

a few pics of my snow removal with the BX last night and today. The last pic the BX is pointed down the road in front of my house. I ended up plowing this stretch of road since I wasn't sure when it would get done. About 2 hours after I plowed one lane of it our road supt. plowed it.
