I know, there are a lot of deer hit by cars here also. There are fewer hunters now because most kids are not interested in it so as the older hunters die off there are fewer kids learning to replace them. Less hunters equals more deer. This post sure did take a turn.

JTD,
Yes I have used one several times. They are very nice to use and it makes the job alot easier especially if you are having to go up and down hills. The one that I have a got in Caldwell, Idaho at a place that is called D&B Farm Supply.

Oh no he's serious. My uncle has sold just the RACKS off of some big elk he's shot for $15k. The big elk and deer go for ALOT of money.

I think the buck was named Jack the Ripper. The 30-30 buck was the largest captive whitetail ever and it scored over 300 which puts it in the top 5 among the largest whitetails ever. The Whitetail Institue bought the 30-30 buck and I do not know who bought the other but there are a lot of big money guys in deer farming. If you have a big enough buck you can sell 3 day old fawns for $20k apiece. Normal fawn prices run anywhere from $300 to $2000 depending on gender and type of whitetail.
I just laid round tubing across the 2 arms of the 3-point hitch and stuck the role on it. I didn't build anything. It worked great. 30 second solution.
Although I swear it was cheaper when I bought it. Works OK. I don't like to use it for stretching because it's too easy to apply too much force, I just use a pair of come-alongs.
