Long range wi fi of many miles is possible. Read this below to get some ideas. Of course a chain saw could be helpful. :)

We used to run a 17 mile link across state lines to avoid tariffs. It helped that we had free access half way up a 1500 foot tower on one end.

How about 237 miles? It is all about antenna gain and path loss and good equipment.

Quote from that article.....

"And yes, I now feel a whole new kind of stupid for not being able to get a reasonable signal between home office and bedroom."

Use power line ethernet with wifi on the barn end for the camera

Google power line Ethernet for more options
I don't know if hardwired cameras are cheaper. Then you could use just power line bridge without wifi and plug the camera directly to the bridge.
They are unlikely to work over that distance. I found them to be less than perfect at less than a fifth of the distance he's talking about. Given the distance I doubt the house and barn are on the same transformer.

Not all are created equal. I would research it. There might be some that would do it. My solar panels communicate over power line with the monitor over 1100 ft away.
Other option would be something similar what the drones use for cameras. Friend of mine has a drone that send video over 1000 ft away.

I've now tried two different brands of powerline ethernet adaptors to get about 150' from my pump house (where I'd like to mount a couple IP cameras) to the router in my office where the satellite Internet feed comes into the house. Neither the TP-Link nor the Netgear hardware would deliver a full speed signal, and with video you need all the speed you can get. I'm giving up and will dig a trench for CAT6 cable.

I'd really like to be able to put a camera up at the gate, too, but it's a quarter mile away over a hill and not near any power. A trench that long is not very likely any time soon, so I'm in the same boat as the OP.
