Wits end with my Kubota dealer

Could this no call back thing be some sort of sales tool or marketing gimmick and done on purpose?

I think that would require a lot of strategic thinking... the kind that successful dealers use to make sure their customers are happy.

Well I'm probably going to irritate a lot of people with my next sentence;
The tractor the OP is getting seems to me has to go thru the service department for several add ons,
this is fall crop season in the northeast, In have never used the dealership named but I do believe that it is a good sized multi-line equipment deal. I would expect that the service department is backed up with large farm equipment emergency repairs. Yours is a small unit needing add ons that may not even be in stock, till everything is on hand I suspect that it won't even be put in the shops lineup.
Enjoy it when you get it.

IF I'm reading this correctly> the tractor is already THERE & just waiting on implements to be put on?? If so, THAT IS the service dept..
I quick call to the owner would be in order.. it works wonders.. AND it has its advantages going forward too..
"hey, that's the guy who called "Gary".. we better jump on this"..
& IF they're taking this long to put it together.. what kinda problems are u going to have??
IF you THINK your gonna jump on it & have 200 hrs of trouble free operation, your highly mistaken..
Bolts are gonna come loose, hydro lines are gonna pop.. ect..
I hope it works out in the long run..

Service Dept? We have been waiting over 6 weeks for a Kubota top & tilt kit, very likely the same one the OP is waiting on. Maybe Kubota can稚 fill the dealer痴 wholegoods kit orders in a timely fashion.

At 5 weeks and no communication from the dealer, I would be shopping elsewhere. I take actions like this from a dealer as a very poor sign as to what support down road will be like if you should ever need it.

I look at it this way - if you don't feel you're getting treated properly, let someone (owner) know. If things don't change, they don't care and you go elsewhere - as a business owner I appreciate honest feedback both positive and particularly negative because I know it's not easy for the customer to complain.

Here's what's interesting: Messicks responded to this thread about them and other Kbota dealers. They're telling you they have everything you need, and even if they don't have every piece in stock, no one can use ALL the equipment at once.

I'd point your selling dealer to this thread; assuming they know how to 'dial-up' the internet, and have them read how poorly they are treating you, and how you and lots of other Kbota guys think about it.

Its really deplorable to not be customer focused, in spite of good points Lou in NY states, and other's comments too.
I'd be steamed. It's not even about how much you're spending- its that you chose this dealer, and they sure don't seem to elicit a 'we care attitude' - so why give them any of your hard earned money?! JMHO.

Unless your getting some weird kit, we'd have it all in stock.

OP, if your near these guys I would be calling them ASAP.. This guy is reading our posts and apparently cares about making money.. Seems to me he has done more than the place your trying to buy a tractor from already by posting in your thread..

.

I gathered from reading the OP's info that he is financing the tractor. Apparently to initiate the Kubota financing paperwork they need the serial numbers of all the implements being financed.
We recently purchased a BX and the dealer had to locate a box blade. I told the dealer they could deliver the BX and other implements and he could deliver the BB when he located one. Dealer said they could not do the paperwork until they had the serial number of the box blade because all the equipment had to be on the paperwork with the serial numbers.
Only took two days,so no big deal, but I can see why the OP is getting a little antsy at this stage of his dealings.

If he's waiting that long for one option, the dealer should have told him and given the option of accepting delivery until that part comes in. The OP doesn't say where he is but I had spent that much time looking/waiting I would be down the highway by now, and not necessarily at a Kubota dealer.
