Hello,
Some how I snapped the main pivot bolt on my woods scraper. The dealer was able to heat it up, remove it and replace it. All seemed good..
Three weeks later the new bolt just slid out of the joint when I lifted the 3 point hitch. I believe the heat used to remove the old bolt must have weakened the threads in the internal welded nut.
So, anyone had a good fix?
The dealer's service group is leaning towards cutting the old nut from inside the scraper hub and inserting a new bolt from the inside. This will leave the nut at the very top of the hub, on the outside.
Any other ideas?
At this point I have the blade's hub chained up to the horizontal frame which seems to be enough to allow me to keep moving snow.... The loose bolt is keeping the blade located and the chain is keeping the blade and frame from pulling apart when I lift the entire thing.
Thanks
