Great project. I also noticed when I used my FEL mounted pallet forks for the first time that the dump function goes much faster than the curl function, which can be feathered easier. I further noticed that the dump function dumps much faster when there is a load. The heavier the load, the faster the dump!

How much ballast did you need to lift the Quad? Did you have your backhoe attached at the time?

The QA plate I built, w/1/4" plate and 2&3" 3/8 strip steel. The Sq tubing for the main frame is 2" 1/4" wall, 7' from QA plate to the end, the short risers between the platform boards and the strip steel on top are 1 1/4" x 3/16" with 2"x12"x8' platform boards.

I added one picture that shows the QA plate a little better and one pic that shows part of the storage area (part over the office), the other part (to the right) is over the wood shop with a little ramp in between. As you can see the shop is still under construction, hopefully I can finish it this year.

Thanks for the info and photos. Your shop is very interesting. Nothing like using wasted space to the max. The quads look like they are ready leap out and get you.

Great looking platform. Sturdy and functional are great qualities for such a platform. That backstop/hand rail will be great security for working off your platform.

I have seen the high lift loaders from Frey, in pictures. But probably no matter how high the lift a "little bit more is eventually going to be needed. That just seems to be the nature of things.
