I have only bought one brand new tractor and come to think of it it never had the "new" car smell.

Something for the manufacturers to work on :)

You can buy "New Car Smell" in a spray bottle. Apparently, it's just evaporatng plastic solvents.

bspeedy, I sure hope so...I've been down a long road with this thing....and i still like the tractor, and the hydraulics seem to still be working properly and the fuel drip must have been as i suspected because it went away. I just really have had to learn a whole lot about my dealer and service the hard way....and even though i do like the tractor and it is what i wanted when purchased i still am on the fence about possibly trading? just to know for my sake that hopefully the next one would be brand new again and not dismantled, played with, poked, prodded and in general a science experiment or training exercise then put back together with a sawdust fix that will just get me by the next 21 or so months of New Holland warranty period...... BUT do i take that risk???.........I could get worse as someone on here posted before...... and now that it is working good it seems to be a great tractor......I just lost the joy of Owning a new tractor about 2 hours after delivery........and took on a headache of dealing with a lot of parts changers that meant well......

Man this is very frustrating! But maybe the glitches are worked out and it's good for the long haul.

I felt like might have been headed down this same road with my new one and explained my case to the dealer. Luckily he's swapping me into a new unit. Hope it's a Tuesday-Thursday built machine.

Good luck man.

BMan2005, Thanks, yes it's been frustrating and all but I think after lots of looking on and off the net and dealer lot the 60 with the 621 loader may just be the sweet spot in this lineup of tractors. and the price my dealer quoted me during all of this mess was a good price for me to move into the 60........ Will i trade? still do not know.....Same tractor as mine just more hp and a little bigger tires and loader, Whatever i do ... I Hope your new one arrives without any issues and we can both get on with life and have dependable tractors..... For a long time

Yeah he said he's never seen with with this issue and especially off the lot having it. I was grateful he offered up to take it back so easily without me saying much. I thought the 50/60/70 were all the exact same beside HP, but I may be wrong. Other than that if the tractor is what it should be I'll be happy with my choice, still my overall pick from all the brands in this class and price. Good luck with yours man and I'll stay in the loop on here to see how it goes over for you in the end.

UPDATE 11-6-17

After using the Workmaster 50 for a few months since last shop visit. and a issues still plaguing the thing me and the dealer came to terms. We went ahead and swapped it for the 60 and this 50 went to the shop for the last time Friday. I gave it another 20 or 30 hard (but not abusive) hay baling, brush hogging, road grading hours before i gave in and called the dealer. Was it the right thing to do? I will never know.... but all i can say now is that i am completely satisfied with my dealer. He done me right on the swap where it counted $$$$, and tried every way possible to make the process as painless for both of us as he could. In the end i think his Shop did try all they new to do, but they just couldn't squeeze a bad lemon and i have nothing against them. We actually may have fostered a better relationship by getting to know each other a little bit.

So for future reference, If any of you find yourselves with a 2016 Workmaster 50 with a 611tl front end loader on it and the hydraulics start jumping and the gauges start flashing and beeping at you for no reason other than you started it up! Or if you just cannot figure out where that 1/4 gallon of ani-freeze is coming from blowing in the wind every time you rev above 1000 rpms. Send me a line and i will share with you the serial number for the nightmare i had. and hopefully New Holland finds it a home/grave before any of you do.

Glad to hear your troubles are hopefully over, and sounds like your dealer took good care of you man. I have 48 hard working hrs on my WM 60 without a hitch man. It's definitely deserving it's branded name.

Wow, what a happy ending and great thread. Pease update on the model 60 as things progress.
In a way, I've come away with a new respect for NH despite your troubles.

I think I would be curious to find out where that NH tractor ends up, my there should be a TractorFax........

Maybe-- and maybe not-- it will be auctioned off and noted "as is; where is" with no warranty. I've seen similar.

There are lots of guys that buy problems like this because of the low price.

Happy that your dealer took care of you. Hopefully the 60 will be the trouble free work horse that my 50 has been.

Don't specifically know why you were losing that much antifreeze but I did have to tighten a hose clamp on mine after 100 hours of use. Took one half turn to stop the drip.

Good luck with your new machine.
