Posthole Digger Worksaver model 500 PHD

I have a used PHD that I think is a model 500. The shaft coming out of the gear box to the auger has two holes offset 90*. The augers also have these two holes. Are they both supposed to get a 1/2" shear pin or just one? There is a sleeve around the bottom of the shaft containing the lower hole that is the ID of the auger. If I only use one pin does it matter which hole?

Shear pin is in the drive shaft on those. Those two bolts don't generally provide shear protection. See:

My worksaver PHD came with some grade 8 blots in those holes... shear pin is on the pto shaft.

What had me wondering was page 18 part #20. It calls for 2 grade 2 bolts. I know page 9 shows the shear bolt on the PTO shaft.
