That's good to know. I hadn't planned on firing in there, but given my mechanical ineptitude, it becomes a possibility.

can you shoot guns if you open the windows?

have planned on using mine as a blind.

Seen it. A friend of mine used to fire weapons out the open patio door at targets in the back yard. He lives in the country and there was a big hill to stop the bullets. However, every window along the back of his house had the seal broken and fogged over. I don't know if opening them would work or not, but I wouldn't try it.

DumbDog,

Have you ever shot from a position that had an overhead
cover? With a rifle? I have and I would prefer not to do it
again. The overhead is nice to keep off the sun on a hot
summer day shooting a long match but the overhead bounces
the shockwave back on the shooter. I don't really understand
WHY its bothersome but it is. This was with 30-06 and 308s.

Shooting from a room would be worse I would think. I know
a guy at work that shot a deer from his house. His baby
started crying, his dog went bonkers, and worse of all, his
wife was MOST unhappy! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I once fired a few rounds from my .357 pistol in my basement. My wife said that some vinyl tiles jumped right off the floor upstairs! I pretty sure she was kidding!

I belong to a benchrest club and we have several ranges with covered firing points. The normal practice is to extend the muzzle out past the roof line. Additionally, the underside of the roof is covered with fiberglass batting. And of course we all wear ear protection.

Definitely a 200 amp service. Duplex receptacles at a minimium of 6' apart and no more than 12 total per circuit. It also helps to alternate receptacles on different circuits.

I guess I will have to build a blind also.

Thanks!

I'm sure you meant "at a MAXIMUM of 6' apart." I had to put mine 8' apart because that's how far apart my posts are set. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
