This whole thread is pretty darn funny if you ask me.
I mean who would of thunk up worms in water buckets, or drying off your fishbait for that matter! I have got to see where the "thread wander" takes this one!

I think it might be time to change your medication.

Birds are picky, gotta have their worm moisture just right.

Aha, somebody caught them in the act, maybe. But could they really climb up a smooth sided plastic drywall Pail? A wheelbarrow? And if so, is it just an accident, or are they committing suicide?
If you don't find meds, then ripple itself will certainly do. Am I dating myself here, or do they still make that stuff? In my day it was a tenth of a step above MD 2020.....and several steps below sanity.
