Are the smaller compact utility John Deere units made in the USA still, or are they also imported from Japan or South Korea?

I can't decide if I'd buy Kioti again.

Wow, you and FUGGLEY both are long-term owners who have had some serious breakdowns.

I am very happy with the quality and reliability of my CK30. I have not suffered any of
the serious problems some others have endured. Even my old-style loader is still free
of cracks. Based on reliability, I think these DaeDongs are great.

In terms of design, it is great to see how makers improve their machines during
model changes. I look at all the brands every year. Mostly those changes are
improvements.

Since I brought up Kioti hoes, the 24xx is way better than the 23xx. Too bad the
subframes are still in the 90s.

Would I buy another Kioti-Bobcat tractor? I just bought anther rental unit for a friend.
This one is an '09 CT335H. 1500h, and kinda beatup looking, but runs/drives great.

While I've had my issues, I don't think there isn't any other tractor out there in its size that will move earth like these CKs can. They are heavy beasts that can move serious amounts of material. Excellent diggers.

I'd just like to see better component quality, and have them make design changes to fix "chronic" defects. They've done that with loaders, and the IPs. Just not sure they've made changes to address their reputation for head gasket issues and HST idiosyncrasies. Over the years, it does appear the DK40/45's have been the most reliable, with few issues ever being reported.

I've contemplated selling mine and going green. But to keep the same capabilities, I'd have to lay out about $30K or more. My logical mind says that I'd be gaining nothing by doing so. So for now, just gonna keep it. After all with the new head gasket change it's like a brand new tractor again. But if there is another major expense, it's going to go as fast as I can get rid of it.

Gittyup, do you know if that head gasket has been improved? Or are failures due to a lack of sufficient head bolts (something that cannot be corrected*)?

* I know that in high performance engine applications that studs are utilized over bolts, suggesting that studs are more likely able to hold heads tighter (and thus reduce head gasket failures?).

I don't know. I haven't ever read anything about a design change to the gasket. The failure is usually at cylinder 1, as the coolant passage is pretty close to the cylinder there. I suspect the engines are the same today on these 25-35 HP machines.

As far as I can determine, no utility tractor is made in US; all come from Asia.

Yes. Good tractor. Still like new at 1500 (or is it 1600?) hours.

Assembled in Georgia. Most major components are made in Japan by Yanmar I think... and shipped to Georgia as an assembly. But then there are parts from all over including USA. Typical sorts of global sources. And the extent of this depends on which model. Thats the info I was able to find when I was shopping.

My 2006 ck30HST has been a workhorse for me these past 11 years. I had a problem with the injector pump that was repaired under warranty. Mine has a loader and 2375 backhoe and never had a problem with either. I passed 1350 hours and just replaced the battery not because it was bad I just could not believe it could last any longer. I live in north central PA and the winters get pretty cold and never had a problem starting it. I had installed a engine heater and I am not sure I ever used it. I use Rotella 5/W40 synthetic in the winter and Rotella 15/W40 in the summer. I have changed the transmission/hydrolic oil and filter every 400 hours and keep it well greased. I wash it /wax it often and it is in showroom condition. I have a 5 foot finish mower/a 5 foot bush hog/2 bottom plough 5 foot disc and the tractor is used DAILY. I would not hesitate to buy another Kioti tractor.

Im seriously considering buying a px1053pc this coming year so anyone with knowledge of their real farm tractors 80 hp or above care to give me some insight.

2013 DK90

15 or 1600 hrs.

Used for haying, feeding, etc.

Yours would have a different engine, hi/lo splitter, a slightly (very slightly) different cab layout, wider axles, slightly different loader, def, higher 3 point capacity (lots higher) with external lift rams and a few other details...hood, cab top...But basically the same drivetrain and tractor overall. More hydraulic flow...

Anyway, based on my experience with my DK, your PX would be one fine tractor. Unfortunately it uses that pesky fluid.

If I was in the market, I would consider that everything else would have to beat the Kioti, not the other way around.

I have a kubota m9000 now that i love but as it is an 04 model with 13000 odd hrs on it its time to replace it and rebuild it.

I drove an m9000 many years ago. It was pretty new at the time. It was a smooth tractor to use. It was also an anomaly around these parts. Now there are more...Kiotis will slowly work their way in too.

The only thing I have to repair was a faulty hydraulic temp sensor down on the hydraulic filter. Something to take into account when it comes to hours on some of the earlier models is they used a tachometer driven hour meter so if the engine was rated for 2600 rpm and you run it at 1300 it will take 2 hours of actually engine run time to but 1 hour on the clock.

What a great feature! I wish all tractors had that, esp HST CUTs.

I would and did. 2004 Kioti LB1914 w/ 650 hours. Sold a few years back when I bought a 2013 Kioti DS4510HS at ~300hours now. The LB1914 is now with my cousin. Don't know how many hours. No problems other than it either needs glow plugs or a relay.

DK35, upgraded to DK40.

I would NOT buy the same or similar. Dealer went out of business soon after and the current 'replacement' dealer is too arrogant.

I started out with a DK35, which turned out to have the wrong (big) wheels fitted to it (next to zero space between the tyres an the guard). Causes real issues when it picked up a small branch and God help me should my fingers get in between.

The DK40 normal/4WD lever is next to impossible to use.

Front 4WD gears disintergrated TWICE, costing heaps. Asked if the second repair can be done free of charge, I was told "It's out of warrenty". Tough titty.

FEL joystick lever broke.
Ignition switch faulty TWICE.

Fuel capacity 40l. Have to do massive lifting to place a 20l jerrycan on top, and never can add a second jerrycan of fuel (because you cannot run it complete dry). So always just add 20l fuel.

After spending a massive amount of time on battery charging issues (turned out to be faulty igntion switch), now it refuses to start (crackshaft turns over).

Brakes are ineffective, and useless if slightly up/downhill. God help me if ever I need to rely on it.

Creep speed lever extremely difficult to operate.

Wow. That's Mahindra level bad user experience. That would leave anyone hating any brand. I do really feel for you on that unit, you got a bad tractor and no one was there to give two craps. Sorry man

Really lousy dealer support. I wonder if Kubota would be worth the extra $$ for this reason?
