Hey, to the extent that I facilitated two helpful dudes yelling at each other, my bad. Didn't realize it would go there but perhaps I am old enough that I should have.

Island tractor and Dave, ease up a bit. I am learning from both of you, you both have good stuff to say. It's helping me.

What isn't helpful is when it gets to yelling at each other. We're all having fun with our big boy toys, if we are going to yell it should be about who is having more fun. Convince me that your grapple is more fun and I'll buy it :)

Well the bottom line is they make different grapple designs, because each design works best for certain jobs.. I don't think there is a "best" grapple design for every thing, each design is best at some things, and maybe a compromise at other things.. That's what I think.:)

I think you are exactly correct. All grapples are good grapples. Heck, I even started using a grapple when I am lifting things with a chain or strap. Lots of places to hook to and loop back.

Thanks. We'll see how it all works out, I think now it is up to me to use them well. I'll try and post pictures of what I'm up to, you guys will probably have a chuckle at some and a wow at others - we've got some big trees here.

Anyway, thanks again for all the help and I hope Dave shows up again; kinda feel bad he got pissed. We're all having fun with our toys (or I am at least. Had a pile of kids over today and drove them around in the bucket, they loved it).

This weekend will be the first big workout of the M59, borrowing a scraper and doing our ditches on the 1.5 miles of road.

This summer I chose to fit a grapple on the minidigger to keep the tractor free for other tasks.
