WR long valve installed

I haven't read thru this thread in a very long time but I DO have the 853 loader and my dealer ordered the WR-Long 3rd-function valve for me. With some minor hydraulics help from them I was able to install it and i use it all the time with my grapple. So I know it works. This was two dealers ago - they seem to go out of business a lot around here.

I see you're in Canada, and this is really none of my business but I hope you're planning to use the plow for show. I don't think the loader is designed to push much else - it's not as bulldozer, is what I mean.

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't believe that I could not have a 3rd function valve installed. The dealer here has been around for over 30 years now. I am going to have to push them into helping me. Perhaps what they're saying is that Kubota does not offer one.
I plan to push snow with it. I turned down a couple of small parking lots this winter. Bucket is too slow and snow blower is the same thing. I could wind the snow into a windrow and then blow it. I do between 9 and 12 driveways each storm before and after work. Gives me a purpose for the tractor and a little extra money for the operating costs.
I will keep you guys posted how I make out.

Welcome Kolbrnr, I would contact W.R.Long the 4N1 Bucket People and ask them what they have. The have pre made kits for most models and are very customer friendly when someone needs help. Many on the forum use their set up and have been very pleased. You do have to buy through an authorized dealer and they can also help you locate one or sign up your dealer to their net work.

Hi I checked for a WR Long dealer in Canada and the nearest one is 1000 miles away in Ontario.
I talked to my local Kubota dealer again today and they are now recommending a diverter valve to run off of my dump / curl lines at an estimated cost of $1000 installed. I was really hoping for a true 3rd function valve. Any thoughts on this????
I have another fellow dropping in on his way home some evening this week. He works for a hydraulic shop. Says its an easy job. We will see.

What do you think about the diverter versus the 3rd function.

If you want a diverter valve set, do it your self.

Hello again for an update and another question.
I have purchased the new knob for the joystick with a trigger switch on the front. I have also purchased a Horst 3000 series 7' power angle blade.

My new question is this. I have 3 empty spots in the fuse block. How do I find the end of the wire from one of the empty spots? Where do I look for it? I would like to run the diverter valve on it's own fuse.

The empty spots have no wires leading from them. I cobbled together a fuse leg socket from a crimp-on spade lug type fitting. The inside column of slots are all connected to the main buss and have a socket for one leg of the fuse. The outside of the blank fuse spots have nothing but a place for the other fuse connector. That was where I used a crimp on connector and rigged it to get it to stay put there to accept a new fuse. I have a 3130, so the fuse block should be the same as yours.

Thanks Dave. I actually got it wired last night and never had time to update the thread yet. I had a 2 wire plug behind the seat that is in the cigaret lighter circuit. I don't know why there is an extra plug but I used it. There is also a rubber plug in the bottom of the cab beside the electrical plug. I fished my wires out through the rubber plug. Everything is soldered and shrink tube installed then placed in a wire loom like on your car and secured by wire ties. I already bought the blade it is a HLA 3000 7 foot power angle blade (Horst Industries). It is rated for 30-80 hp and up to 10,000 lb vehicle weight. It makes me a little bouncy on the road as it weighs 900 lbs. All I have left to do is the hydraulic aspect. I am still waiting for a guy to show up on the weekend to do it. I don't have a crimper for the hoses. I already have the second wire harness made up and there is a 2 wire quick disconnect at the loader valve in case I remove the loader. I will solder in a 6 amp diode at the coil to increase switch life as recommended by the manufacturer of the handle (Sure Grip).
Should be good and should be done this weekend,,,, if it doesn't snow.

Cool. I had the hoses made in a shop. I used 2 short ones to the diverter to "break into the system" and then had them make me 2 long hoses with only one end on them. Then I got everything laid out properly and brought them back for them to put the other ends on so they fit well.

Where did you get the Sure Grip handle? I could use a better switch than the one I got. A link or source would be appreciated.
