You folks have been a ton of help. Wish the dealer up here was near as helpful as you folks! I'll check things out and try regen at the higher rpm as cross my fingers. Then dig into the throttle issue if that doesn't work. Thanks for all the help!
I believe all you have to do is what Bobrown14 suggested , disconnect the battery for awhile.I'm a bit of a dummy on the electrical end of this. Where and how do I discharge the capcitors? My throttle is a dash type.
I am not convinced that running high rpms during the regen process has any impact on the process. The DPF system uses a burner, fueled by the tractor's diesel supply, to burn off the collected soot. I do not see how higher rpms can create enough heat that would significantly raise the temp of the burner process. I have over 1300 hours on my 2016 XG3037 and have had zero issues with the regen process and I usually regen at 1800 rpms. It regens every 5 hours as it should.
My dealer was very specific about how to care for the regen process:
1. Use a diesel additive with every tankful of diesel.
2. Change the small inline pre-fuel filter regularly . Water is very destructive to the DPF system.
3. Buy diesel fuel from a high volume station for the freshest fuel.
I have followed his advice faithfully and have had zero regen issues.
I hope you are able to figure out what is causing your regen issues. Sounds like it may be a sensor or burner issue. Keep us posted.
