Rest in Peace
I just happened to notice, as we were driving by the Kroger's in Denton today that the sign showed regular gas at $1.919 and diesel at $2.999. It's hard to believe diesel is over a dollar a gallon higher than gas.
Maybe it's bottomed out and going to start back up. I know some thought the prices would go up after the election. I noticed this afternoon that the Sam's Club in Lewisville is back up to $2.089.
I heard some economist being interviewed on bloomberg radio the other day saying that he expects oil to go down even more.
The one thing that I've learned for sure about the price of oil is that ALL the "experts" don't have a clue. I think one half say it's going up, then the other half say it's going down, and which ever way it goes, they are the current expert. All summer long, they kept telling us how much higher it was going to go. The President Bush opened up the coast for drilling and the Republicans forced the Democrats to do the same. Next thing you know, the price of oil crashes.
It's all a game. As long as they can invent some reason to pretend there is a shortage, they can raise the price. There's so much oil available that they have to limit how much they pump in oder to limit supply. Every year there are new oil fields discovered, and in just the last few years, those oil fields have been HUGE!!!!
There is no oil shortage, none of the experts have a clue how much oil is out there, or even what creates it. There is no proof that the planet isn't making more of it, and there are some oil wells that are actually rising from previous levels. Where's that oil coming from?
If there ever was a worldwide conspiracy, it's the amount of oil that's avialable and how long those supplies will last.
