What works for one might work for another and for some one who is allergic, I dont know if it would work at all. But over the years when operating a petrol tactor I would often run into a nest of them and usually we dont have any thing on hand. I have found that immediately after getting stung, simply find you a clean small stick or long blade of grass and take your gas cap off and dip it in the tank and put a dab on the sting. Of course crazy EPA warnings and lawyer talk. Put your smokes out or flames. Then this will help and most times stop the pain, or very little. I have been stung many times while riding my motor cycle and I just stopped immideatly and located something to stick in my tank to get a little gas to put on the sting. While mowing with push mower, take the cap off and stick my finger down in the tank and get a dab and put on the sting. I have used diesel when using a dozer or something with no petrol. It doesnt work near as well but will help some. Had a nest of yellow jackets up in the eves of my house. Every time I tried to take a ladder to get up close to spray them I got stung. Simply got about four or five plastic golf tubes, taped them together, hooked up my vaccum cleaner and turned it on. Those little devils went right in. They would actually attack the end and would get sucked in. Of a evening when they are returning to their nest, just place it around the hole and will be sucked in.
