Good post Kenmac. I confess I didn't know Fredricks refurbished tractors. I thought they just sold them
as they come in the containers. Interesting they are the only "authorized" importer. Wow! I didn't know Yanmar authorized anyone.

Also thinking rjsharp might be better off selling or trading his 2000 for a 4 wheel drive loader tractor. I know 2 wheel drive will work with a loader but having a 4 wheel drive and operating it with or without the front wheel drive is no comparison. Just my 2 cents. :2cents:

Notice the authorization comment in the description of this tractor. Never have seen this before either. :confused3:Yanmar YM1500 Tractor | eBay

Winston,
You must have never visited his site fredricksequipment.com
From the beginning, Fredricks has refurbished his tractors. But, not to the extent he does today .The early refurbs had ZEN-NOH decals. Mine still sports the ZEN-NOH decal.... Today you get as close to a new 1980 mod. yanmar as you can get... He is the 1 that Had the ROPS developed for these tractors. I bought my tractor from him in the early stages of his business. When I bought my tractor from him, He was in the early stages of developing / testing ROPS for these tractors. When I bought, I told him I wanted a ROPS as son as the Osha testing was complete. He sold me the proto type ROPS.. I was surprised to find he is the only Yanmar Authorized importer. I had no idea. This probably explains why he wasn't a party to the suit. He has a lot of parts but, not everything. I had to buy steering arm boots from JD. Fredricks is also a Mahindra dealer. I can say that Tom Fredricks is a man of his word. When I bought my tractor he told me that if I ever bought a loader , he would give me $500.00 off. Well after about 4-5 yrs. I took my tractor to him and had the loader installed and showed him the paper where he had written $500.00 off a loader. I never thought he would honor the $500.00 off .But, he did.:cool2:

Now that is good business. That is where I got YM 2000 from, back in 2001. I spoke to him briefly yesterday and he said grown tremendously over the years. When I was over there, it was a large metal bdlg. and a gravel lot. I look forward to go back over there and doing some trading.
