As for the regulator.. they may just be generically naming it by function. As for the 'generator'.. if it has an ac output.. then it is an alternator by every standard that I have seen... again.. as this is overseas equipment we are dealing with.. their naming terminology may be drastically different.. and there may not be as much distinction between two power plants 9 generator.. as it is 'generating' electricity... in the same sense that an alternator generates electricity.. though both through a slightly different process. perhaps even the same for the regulator.. just a naming difference or problem in translation. I can't count the translation problems I've seen in these japaneese to american translations concerning these tractors...
