You get a smart wallet and you're looking for the instructions

My old Filson leather wallet has held up well over the years, but the leather seems to be stretching with the cards, and they started falling out regularly (sometimes I just keep the wallet in the truck and not in my pocket and if the wallet is upside down somewhere, cards come out).

My own bill fold is getting threadbare. All the men's stores in town have closed up.
I'm not buying one on-line if I haven't held it and seen what it is.
I'm carrying fewer cards than ever. Why carry the medical /prescription card all the time? Two charge cards are more than enough.

I must be getting old.

Not to brag but, when I was young you could slam the phone receiver down to hand up on someone. It was fantastic!

Just met friends celebrating a birthday and it’s another cashless establishment…

I mentioned it and the others say they seldom ever use cash from parking meters to fine dining all going cashless.

With smart phone apps even credit tap and swipe going away.

No need for a traditional wallet.

The more things change, the more they remain the same. In HS I bought a "selfwinding" watch with a lifetime warranty. It lasted about 3 months.
i sent it back, with the obligatory payment for shipping and handling; when I got it back it still wouldn't work. Sent it back again, and I don't recall what happened that time but I also don't recall wearing it again. When we moved 2 years later I tossed it.

Sigh, substituting a bulky, fragile, expensive electronic gadget that doesn't fit in a pocket very well for something simple and low-tech. Maybe some peoples' idea of progress, but not in my book.

I've been know to intentionally leave my phone on the kitchen table and go any place I need to with no phone.
Of course I have accidentally left the house without my wallet more then once.
Good thing I keep a bit of cash in the truck don't get much gas or ice cream with my looks.

My experience is just the opposite. When I retired 8 years ago the number of extra cards for everything that I had to carry increased so that I had to buy another wallet - it is so thick I rarely ever put it in a pants pocket. Before retiring I didn't need a medical card, now I have to carry 4. And even though I go to the same doctor's office every time, they insist on scanning those cards each visit even though I tell them nothing has changed.

I carry a card in my wallet with family & friends phone number & birthday on it.
I've carried it so long and every time one kicks the bucket I draw a line through it. I should make a new one. 1"×2" would work.
